    • For a story so short a whole lot of time was spent covering the same ground. Can you forgive me for what I did to you thirteen years ago? Yes.The next chapter. Can you forgive me for what I did to you thirteen years ago?Yes.I know personally that when I've been in a relationship and had to keep giving reassurance on the same issue over and over again, it eventually grew into much more of an issue. I understand that Travis is a little unsteady but the love of your life is back in town, says he for [...]

    • Another so-so romance about two guys who've been in love with each other since high school, but allowed massive miscommunication and misunderstandings to come between them. Another story told in first person Also, I think the blurb for this one is a bit misleading, so beware.

    • The first of the Men of Marionville books, Travis and Heath are reunited after 13 years of separation. Best friends throughout their childhood, the night before Travis was to leave for college they have a huge falling out and Travis runs from Heath telling him he never wants to see him again. The resulting misunderstandings and miscommunications as well as lack of self-understanding and acceptance leads to hurt and regret on both sides. When they finally see each other again after Heath returns [...]

    • Under the Influence of Each OtherI could not put this book down. Best friends since grade school thrown back together in their home town a dozen years after their friendship came to a terrible, life-altering ending. Heath returns home, Travis is still there, and there is no question that something is going to give. However, what author Kendricks does is set them up so that everything these two obsessive men have alone must give in to what they must have together in order for both to survive. This [...]

    • Thoroughly enjoyable. My biggest complaint here was that it definitely could’ve been longer- I would’ve liked to know more about Heath especially. I didn’t feel like he was as fleshed out as I would’ve liked, even though the story was from his point of view. Nothing about this is groundbreaking in any way- it’s pretty typical of this genre- but it’s a nice light read when you’re in the mood for one.

    • Interesting to see how love and anger can reside together and can separate friends for such a long time. I love that while they immediately reconnect that still have to deal with the fall out from all those years of misunderstanding.

    • I thought this was a great start to The Men of Marionville series. I gave it 3 stars because I felt that the main characters rushed ahead too fast without resolving past issues. Other than that, I really enjoyed this book.

    • This is a sweet story. It started off strong with lots of potential for angst, but just fell right into sweet and stayed there.

    • wow, time passes fast. I can't remember when I first read this book in my past. Nonetheless I find the main plot, about miscommunication and misunderstandings, way to plain and boring.
