    • Joanna Guthrie has never fully recovered from a nightmare that happened to her 18 years ago. Joanna has been living in silence and she finally has found the courage to break this silence. Unfortunately, her nightmare is coming back to haunt her and it all seems to start happening again in real time to other women. Joanna is determined to put this to stop but can she with her previous trauma? Tony LeDoux is a former FBI profiler who's life is falling apart. Tony lost his family and his career is [...]

    • Anthony LeDoux is a familiar character to those who have been following Debra Webb’s ‘Shades of Death’ series. Here, he’s a pale and rather pathetic version of his uptight self in the previous 3 books—a jobless alcoholic after the breakdown of his marriage and an emblem, so to speak, of an FBI hero who, because of his hubris, has fallen far and in sore need of redemption. The latest case that involves his missing niece might just offer him that, but not before he encounters a survivor [...]

    • Debra Webb is my go to for creepy suspense, serial killer novels. Her latest, The Longest Silence is no exception. While it is part of the Shades of Death world, the focus is Special Agent Anthony LeDoux. He was always one of those characters you loved to hate until you saw the real him and fell completely in love with him, bad decisions and all. It is nice to see him recover his hero status and move forward. This is a hallmark Webb novel with twists and turns you never see coming. You will want [...]

    • I’ve read everything Ms. Webb has published and I’ve never read a book by her that I didn’t enjoy! This one is no exception. The LONGEST SILENCE is the latest installment to the SHADES OF DEATH Series and it doesn’t disappoint. A taunt thriller that will keep you riveted until the end and will keep you thinking about it, long after the final page has been turned. In my estimation, this is the epitome of a great read!If you’re like me and love a well-written, captivating read, then this [...]

    • For me this book had a different pace than the other books in The Shades of Death series. Also while Nick & Bobbi made a brief appearance, this book featured Tony LeDoux. This Special Agent paid a very high price for his obsession with a serial killer, and because of it he lost so very much. As usual, great plot with twists I never saw coming. I wasn't to sure about Jo but by the end I was all in and cheering for her as well as Tony. He needed a win, and finding his niece Tiffany alive would [...]

    • I luckily received the ARC of this book. As with all of Debra's books it was so very hard to put down. This is the next book in the Shades of Death series. This book focuses around Tony LeDoux. You will remember him for using Bobbie to catch her husbands and sons killer. But they bonded by what happened to of them. Tony gets a call his niece is missing and heads out to meet his sister and husband to find out what is going on. He has been consuming lots of alcohol since he quit the bureaubut he s [...]

    • Joanna Guthrie has kept silent for 18 years. She and 2 other young women were kidnapped, tortured and made to do unspeakable things then released after 2 weeks. Now it appears the same thing is happening to other young women. Joanna goes to ex FBI agent for Tony LeDoux to tell him her story. Tony’s doesn’t believe her at first. • I don't know what I can say about this book that others haven't already said! Debra Webb is a MASTER at her craft! Once again she has created a heart stopping, clock ticking, page turner that will grab you from the start and hold on to you to the very end! Dark, complex and totally compelling, the story Debra weaves around you as you read will have you at the edge of your seat. As usual, Debra brings her story to life with thoroughly developed characters that know the darkness and madness that c [...]

    • Joanna, along with two other women, spent fourteen days in hell, literally, and the serial killer holding them captive was the devil. Joanna knew without a doubt that's what he was, and eighteen years after escaping, she's still trying to forget that tragic part of her life. Plus, she knows talking about it could very well return her to that hell. He's watching, and waiting, for her to slip. There's only one reason she'll break her silence, and as more women begin disappearing as she did, she kn [...]

    • I received a free ARC through .---I thoroughly enjoyed the first book of this series immensely, so I was super excited to pick up this book in the series (not necessary to read the previous books to understand what is going on). While this book isn't as intense and super creepy like the first book I read, it is still very intense and gripping. Do not underestimate the author in how she brings the villains to life and how you really feel for the main characters who always gets the raw end of the [...]

    • Thank you to Debra Webb and MIRA for the free advance copy!!2.5 StarsJoanna Guthrie lives a shadow of a lifee's never fully recovered from the horrific events that happened to her 18 years ago. She's finally found the courage to break her silence about that time because what happened to her seems to be happening again. • Thank you Debra Webb for the ARC of The Longest Silence that I read and reviewed. The fourth book for the Shades of Death book was a great way to end the series. I loved Tony LaDoux story and Joanna Guthrie who was matched up with him in this book. This book has so many twist and turns I could not put it down because I did not want to miss a second of what was going on with Tony and Joanna and their search for Tony's niece and what really happened to Joanna eighteen years ago. • Joanna has stayed silent for 18 years, but now more girls have disappeared in the same way. She is ready to help find the people who did this to her, but she needs to find someone who will listen and believe her. Tony LeDoux is falling on really hard times, losing his wife and job, when he gets a call that his niece is one of the missing girls. Joanna needs to convince Tony that her story is true and that with her help they may be able to find his niece. A great read with many twists and turns. [...]

    • THE LONGEST SILENCE written by Debra Webb is an absolute page turner! Her books are always very hard to put down once I start reading them but this one really got a hold on me. As book number four in the Shades of Death series it only gives us a small cameo of Bobbie Gentry and Nick Shade, which were the main characters in the previous books. This one focuses on Tony LeDoux, former FBI agent who helped them bring down the Storyteller killer in earlier books. Eighteen years ago one woman has kept [...]

    • I am privileged to be a part of Debra Webb’s “Street Team” so as such, I received an ARC of THE LONGEST SILENCE, her fourth book in the Shades of Death series. This book focuses on Tony LeDoux, the former FBI agent who is washed up because of his alcoholism. However, he is called back into action when his niece is kidnapped from her college campus in Milledgeville, Georgia and his sister Angie calls him for his help. This is a non-stop thriller about some really ruthless characters who hav [...]

    • This book was absolutely amazing. This book was a page turner that I just couldn't stop reading until the end. Another amazing book by Debra Webb. I had absolutely loved reading this book. I would highly recommend this book.

    • An enthralling and eerie thriller that showed the true meaning of courage, strength, and survival while facing the most horrid, cruel, and unthinkable crimes. I am in awe of how the story was built, with just enough light and hope on the sidelines to keep the utter evil darkness from engulfing you in. FBI special agent Tony LeDoux had a role in the previous stories of the series yet this book is a standalone novel, starting and concluding a different type of serial killer and criminal web, and c [...]

    • 4 1/2 STARS!Heart-wrenching terror! Explosive fear brings a whole new aspect to Debra Webb's Shades of Death series as we delve into a case that hits way too close to home for a familiar face. A totally different type of case than the first part of the series revolved around, but no less intriguing! Well-developed characters lead us through an intricate plot purposely laid out in a way to keep us guessing about who was is involved, what the reasoning is, and whether it will all end with this cas [...]

    • I received this book as an ARC. Debra Webb has masterfully woven characters throughout her Shades of Death series. You never know what character will come into play, but it will keep you coming back for more.Joanna Guthrie’s past had been long buried for the past 18 years. A terrifying secret she held with one other person has come back to haunt. This time it isn't something Joanna can run from. There are new victims and there's only Joanna with information that could help in solving the case. [...]

    • The Longest Silence, A Shades of Death Novel, by Debra Webb, features former FBI Special Agent Tony LeDoux and introduces Joana Guthrie. Tony LeDoux has been a very interesting character in the previous books and sometimes not such a by-the-book agent or good person which is why he left the FBI. Joana Guthrie experienced something so horrible 18 years ago that she hasn’t returned home and lives the life of a recluse. But when a college student disappears Joana realizes that she has to return h [...]
